Hey, I do love that! But $400? Surely we can make a Picaxe version for $40!

I want to see that in action.

Reading the manual gives some clues as to how it works.

The system works like a GPS, but measures the time-of-flight of a sound pulse instead of a radio pulse.

Page 9 indicates that there are two modes of operation, map making mode and runtime 'GPS' mode.

In the map making mode the static beacons measure, via bidirectional US, the distance between each other.

In the run time mode the mobile beacon must send a pulse ( triggered by radio from the router ) and each static station measures how long it takes for the pulse to reach it.

Would be a cool PICAXE project, and probably doable with a 28X2.
