Hi Folks. I've got a copy of Mr Lincoln's 1 st ed green book. Could anyone who has read both editions please advise me if ed 2 is worth buying. Here in Oz, it appears to be about $100 aud, which is a pretty hefty outlay if the content is simply a regurgitation of ed 1.
Thanks

I'll look at mine later to see which version I have. All the M2 info was in an appendix, totally isolated and separate from the main book. I wasn't impressed.

Ten or more years ago it was pointed out here that Mr. Lincoln's book is very much out of date--though whether there was a better one available was in question.

I purchased the book when I first became interested in learning to program the picaxe micro. Was a little disappointed but just attributed it to my own inability to understand what was going on.

Have both and to be fair the 2nd one doesn’t really offer much over the original book. Certainly not at that price, I picked up the 2nd edition online from a used book seller for about £7, think it was world of books ….

Thanks 1968neil. That's the sort of answer i was looking for, from a reader who has both editions.
