The self assembly kit is in stock and available here:

Yes, but I want the ready built versions. The project is plug & play construction, no soldering needed.

Will they be available in the next week or two ?.

Cheers,

There are no short term plans for another batch of assembled, the (cheaper) self assembly pack has always been much more popular.

OK, I'll just have to set some time aside to assemble them.

It's interesting that the kit is much more popular than the ready-built.

Is that the same for all products with a DIY option ?

I would guess that, as it's a kit with so few parts to solder, none of them difficult to solder, and probably going to people who already have some soldering skills, self-assembly is seen as a cost effective way to save money.

I'm sick. I love soldering. Must be that I grew up building Heathkits. Most people today look at soldering like ditch-digging, that it's beneath them. Lead exposure aside, I find it a relaxing experience and consider it a life skill.

@Buzby - an opportunity to get a neighbor kid into soldering addiction... ;-0
Ah the smell of flux smoke and hot epoxy etc... I'm with erco and built my first Heathkit about 1950 - I solder something pretty much daily though now it's often disassembly rather than assembly.
