AXE200 Documentation for EEPROM?

AXE200 Documentation

I received my first AXE200 today and when turning it over I was surprised to see a location provided for an eight pin ic, which I envisage is for EEPROM. My question is there any documentation for this.

If EEPROM will it become an option available when placing order?

Just tried to call up the AXE200 datasheet at
http://www.rev-ed.co.uk/docs/axe200.pdf
but it is not yet/currently available

In fact from the Rev Ed website (http://www.rev-ed.co.uk/picaxe/), drilling down to the all datashseets page, does not even list the AXE200 - but it is on the list of datasheets listed when using the link at the top of the forum pages

The AXE022 has provision for an EEPROM so would make sense that the AXE200 for the 28X1 also has such provision.

The AXE200 is currently described in the main manual (part 1) although we are also working on a unique datasheet aswell (which will be called AXE200.pdf when released).

The EEPROM position is for end users to add their own EEPROM if desired - it is not factory fitted. Simply add a 24LC128 or similar, plus two 4k7 resistors (0805 format).

@Technical,

While your post for the latest manual revisions and also the link from the rev Ed website at http://www.rev-ed.co.uk/picaxe/
both direct one to Rev 6.9 of the Manual 1 at:
http://www.rev-ed.co.uk/docs/picaxe_manual1.pdf

If one uses the links at the top of the forum page, the link takes you to Rev 6.8 at:
http://www.picaxeforum.co.uk/docs/datasheets/picaxe_manual1.pdf

which for example makes no refernce to the AXE200 as the name for the 28X2 module

Can we please have the links at the top of the forum pages consistent and up to date.

axe200.pdf

Hi, actually, there are 3 documents that aren't available:

AXE200 PICAXE-28X1 Module axe200.pdf
AXE029 Breadboard Adapter axe209.pdf
MOD028 Technomusicology Kit mod028.pdf

I looked at the web page and didn't find any direct contact to Picaxe. I assume that this is the place to mention this. I just bought 28x1 module and I am waiting to get more info on it. Hope we will be able to get this file soon. As I asked before, there got to be someone out there that has this file, it would be nice to download it for other to read!

The data for the AXE200 is in the main manual, there is no separate datasheet.
The SOIC EEPROM is the correct format if you want to do this. Adding an EEPROM is an undocumented/unsupported feature that you use at your own risk, as faulty soldering could potentially damage the board.

Can you give the dimensions of the pads as they lay on the AXE200 module?
