Has anyone had problems with this display,I have assembled and double checked connections and power supply ,but display stays dead.
Is there any other checks I can do ?

Are you using serial or I2C? If serial, check baud.
Also check contrast setting. It may be working but you just can't see it!
Power supply? It needs a good 5v. If only 4.5v, then short out link.

reading the data sheet notes it says about firmware upgrade if it dosnt work (and it is a green display )do you think this might be the problem
I am running it from axe020 project board 28x1 chip and 16mhz resinator .
