Another New Nesbit Solution (Really)

Sadly, this particular one only works if Nesbit moves to the US, but the ZOOMBAK http://www.amazon.com/Zoombak-ZMBK346-Advanced-Universal-Locator/dp/B001EJP3CG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1242066775&sr=8-2 can be set up with safety zones (the yard, roughly?), and will alert you when Nesbit gets out and heads for the far reaches.

One would think there would be an equivalent solution in the UK - though perhaps so, perhaps not. The price on these things has dropped precipitously lately (available on the web site for a mere USD$99) when it used to be discouted at close to twice that. And, in calling, they are increasing their capability 9right now, it only gives the location every 5 minutes and warns if in or out of safety zones, speed and other data, and real-time tracking are due out next month or so).

If speed and altitude are reported somewhat instantaneously, might be a nice telemetry feature for the Radio Control worls (check your car/boat/plane speed and direction). And getting down to the realm of nearly affordable. The tracking service is as low as USD$10/month, but you can also use a USD$20 cellphone with GPS and free software to do the same for about USD$9/mo (Boost Mobile) - though not to the 1/10th of a km/h I would prefer.... And the battery life of the Boost Mobile cellphone when doing this continually is impractical for poor Nesbit (plus having to lug a cellphone around, poor dear). The Zoomback is much more practical for a bunny accessory.

Cheers,
