hi erco,
Cool project! Funny, while watching your video I suddenly saw it grow, sprout a weed-eater head & gas engine. Sure hate yard work in this heat. Hmm… lounge chair, remote control, Picaxe weed-eater…
Thanks for the inspiration!

I used an interesting workaround on this robot chassis to send IR commands over a simple 433 Mhz radio link. The IRIN decoder in the receiving 20M2's firmware allows SERVOPOS commands to operate servos continuously while awaiting new commands. Details here.

No, but that's an interesting thought. It comes with a PC app to program the messages through a micro USB connection, so there would be some legwork involved to interface a Picaxe.

BTW now you can get them in red, white, blue or green. https://www.ebay.com/itm/153701089837

I figure they might have a USB to serial converter built in that could be bypassed once the communication is sniffed. For $5, I might give it a try this winter.

A sticker on the bonnet? Forsfor stickers seem to be allowed by law, but why and what are they for? I would stick them on the hoods of all pedestrians to make them shine brighter than an atomic bomb. Many do not understand what it is, but at least the phosphorus mixture, which incidentally can still ignite. An acquaintance did so and prayed that he had no tobacco in his hands, only https://hub420.shop/product-category/shake/ and no fire

This and another odd post to older threads after a decade of absence. So just a note that we do monitor posts, have noticed, and will take appropriate action if something untowards is going on.
