Icannot find a reference to Windows 8 in the picaxe software installation information,is it the same as Windows 7?, or is there anything I should know before buying a new laptop.not that there seems much choice as everything has widows 8 on it now.

Why can I not get the infrain,infrain2 or irin commands to respond to the remote control borrowed from my Sony TV. presumably it is using the Sony Protocol.? I have tried with Picaxe 14M and 28 x2 with no success.
