    The hi2c is more bare bones in gcb than picaxe and it's like serial or spi...complicated. on the other hand graphic lcd is easy. Picaxe would be too slow. Can not wait to mount on a servo on a tank base from ebay. Nice to program a uno in basic...just change the #chip at the start to a big list...

    New stuff

    There are free pic basic compilers. google. All will be a new learning curve but picaxe is relatively complicated for basic and non standard in flashing or variables. All basics are different but some have things in common...pics tend to use the microchip pins for programming data/clock.

    'hi2cin 0x1E,(b3,b2) 'w2 = b3 'w2 = w2 * 256 'w2 = w2 | b2 Nice work it has been simplified. From a picaxe post by buzby I read 12 bytes from 0x14. The second is an error code,10 and 11 are distance. If the error was = or 6 it displayed distance. Anything else been done with this device please?

    VL53L0X Time of Flight sensor

    I'm now using 0x1e ...and 0x1f I suppose to read distance. Seems I was reading an array of 12 bytes from 0x14 before and using elements 11 and 12. Buzbys code I think. Gave lots of info.See above post. It's a nice unit and no c needed. I fancy trying it on a robot instead of ultrasonic.

    Tiny Collision Detector

    I got it working with picaxe code converted by mmotte on gcb forum. I submitted it. Converting picaxe to gcb is difficult for me. The idea was for a robot but the latency is a factor. Registers can be set to speed things or accuracy.

    Sloth Robot

    That's encourageing. Converting the adc read value back to micro seconds should be easy. The hardware side of making a walker is...the drill bit snapped and went through my thumb nail...I bought an A8 reprap i3 clone kit for £84 and will print the parts.

    Obfuscated as posting images sometimes but 1 meg is kodak brownie. It's supposed to be vero with 28pin socket. The chips with more than 1k ram tend to be 28pin...like 28x2
