    SEROUT Hex Numbers?

I built this demo box with the same VR module. Shows much better than numbers in the serial monitor!

No COM Port AXE027 Windows 10

SWM: Please follow IWP's advice above. I wasn't saying that the AXE027 is a CP2102 (I don't have one, don't know), just that some Windows updates cause sudden compatibility problems in a previously working system. Sorry for any confusion.

    SEROUT Hex Numbers?

Best price I've found on this same module is 16USD + shipping if anyone wants one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001965765002.html Although there are newer chips with more words/features, mostly ~$23-26 USD.

No COM Port AXE027 Windows 10

Related, in the latest update to Windows 10 20H2, there is no built-in driver for my SiLabs CP2102 USB/serial adapter, I get that same yellow triangle warning. Previously it installed itself automatically except for one hiccup ~3 years ago. Now I have to manually go to...

    SOUND command

Maybe so. If you can live with just high/low, you could use a series resistor attenuator (or voltage divider) to lower the volume, then have a mosfet or reed relay bypass the resistor. Or use the DAC output to control a transistor amplifier. There's always a programmable gain amplifier...

    SEROUT Hex Numbers?

Success! Jeez, that took a lot of brute force experimenting. The Geeetech module is finnicky since it has its own micro & ecosystem, and the documentation is scarce, so it took a while to configure and get the comms right sending numbers in hex. I wasted half a day trying to get 4800 baud...

    SEROUT Hex Numbers?

Thanks all. Here is the module. I bought it probably 8 years ago, but it's still available on ebay. https://www.geeetech.com/wiki/images/6/69/Voice_Recognize_manual.pdf manual https://www.banggood.com/Voice-Recognition-Module-With-Microphone-Control-Voice-Board-p-10 56127.html The module...

    SEROUT Hex Numbers?

I need an M2 chip to serial output hex format numbers to control a speech recognition module. Possible? SEROUT command says "Optional #'s are for outputting ASCII decimal numbers, rather than raw characters" but it doesn't say what format "raw characters" is.

Program ceases running momentarily when serial comm. is interupted.

Per Neil, 'Disconnect' is very effective. Just be aware that after you program that in, you will have to do a 'hard reset' to reprogram the chip: Don't apply power to the Picaxe until after you click "Program".

    Vintage iButton Bling

If you can pony up $7 for DIY E-bling, I recommend this digital watch kit. Comes with a 20-pin Chinese STC processor, but I'm sure a 20M2 version could be made to work. https://www.ebay.com/itm/333824561598 Or if you're good with SMT, see https://www.ebay.com/itm/133653935097
