    14M2 interrupt error in model

Hi Technical, Generating a suitable .dsn file is going to be time consuming, assuming I can do it at all, that is. I haven't used Proteus v7 for some years now, having switched to v8. I can send you the .pdsprj file without any problem, but I suspect that you won't be able to handle it. Is this...

    14M2 interrupt error in model

Thanks hippy and Technical for your inputs. There is a single 0V rail, the various separately drawn parts being connected by signal naming, "ZEROV" and "LOGIC0". 0V_A and 0V_B are components on this rail: solder pins for connecting to the off PCB circuitry. I've just double-checked the...

    14M2 interrupt error in model

I'm not certain that the code and circuit diagram are going to be helpful in this particular case, however, since you asked, here they are. ; This is a programme for driving the beep test circuitry. #PICAXE 14M2 #TERMINAL 38400 ; Define the PICAXE port directions. LET dirsB = %00111111 ; [0]...

    14M2 interrupt error in model

I'm trying to detect a low input on either pin C.0 or pin C.1 using the interrupt thus: SETINT OR 0x00, 0x03 This simulates correctly in PE6.0.9.3, but completely misbehaves in the mixed signal environment. I'm hoping that the solution will be a fairly simple update to the AXE14M2.MDF model...

    Confused by MIN

I don't know for certain and the user manual isn't specific, but yes, this does appear to be the case. At least, if you re-define the temp register as a word variable then your original code works as intended.

    PC to PICAXE communication

Thanks all for your feedback -- it's been most useful in getting things working, and I am now able to transfer single ASCII characters from PC to PCB using TCL and an AXE027. The code I posted earlier was the entire code bar the definitions so, yes, I definitely bungled when setting the baud...

    PC to PICAXE communication

Now I'm confused. Is this user manual up to date? According to the HSERIN command description, reception for X2 parts is always to the scratch pad, whereas M2 parts receive to a variable.

    PC to PICAXE communication

The PCBs have arrived, testing has started but is not going to plan. The board has been designed so that I can select, by means of switches, communication via either HSERIN/OUT or SERIN/OUT. I'm concentrating on getting HSERIN to work. I'm sending a single ASCII character from the PC via the...

    PC to PICAXE communication

Thanks for the ideas, I now plan to use the serial in/out. I ran a simple experiment of outputting an ASCII character from the USB port via the AXE027 cable to the 40X2 serial input of the development / programming board, where I could observe the character correctly on an oscilloscope. I...

    PC to PICAXE communication

Hi all, I'm moving into an area in which I have no technical experience. A search of this forum's database hasn't thrown up anything useful, and so I'm hoping for assistance from anyone who may have already been down this particular route. I am looking to control a number of PICAXE28X2s from my...

18M2 shared data and programme memory

Thanks Hippy, it seems that I do not have a problem. After some more debugging, it looks like I've got to the root of the problem.

18M2 shared data and programme memory

Hi all, Can I check that I understand the rules on memory usage for an 18M2? The compiler reports that the programme uses 2025 bytes, and this contains instructions to write to EEPROM addresses 0x00 to 0x0B inclusive (as well as READ and WRITE instructions for the same addresses). According to...

    Pre-processor output file.

I've downloaded the latest revision of PE6 but still the problem persists. I've also created a temporary directory called AAAA directly under C:\ to remove the usage of 8.3 directory path names, and still the same behaviour. This one is defying logic at the moment.

    Pre-processor output file.

Thanks premelec, but with the information that hippy's provided, I don't think that I'll be needing it. If the compilation is successful, and it is, then the files must be being generated and in the correct location. I opened the explorer(?) window at the relevant directory, started compiling...

    Pre-processor output file.

Hello all, I've been generating this output file when compiling for a long time now, and it has been working without any problems. Until today. The compiling still works fine, that's no problem, but now WordPad just opens an empty window and a separate error window telling that it cannot locate...
