    Turntable Speed

Alan, Astonishing work, thank you. PAUSEUS 310 was almost perfect. Hippy is right about lack of clarity in my postings to clarify I have multiple turntables and for this discussion I am working with two of them, one is a direct drive with a quartz speed control and an indicator LED when the...

    Turntable Speed

I like it when an initially simple idea turns out to be complex. Thanks for all the insight Alan I was hoping you'd respond. At this point I'm going to try to solve this empirically and maybe work backwards to figure it out on paper. I have a turntable with very accurate speed control, a direct...

    Turntable Speed

Hippy, as always, thanks for all your help. Life got busy and I finally got a chance to experiment. Very basic switching of a white LED with a 390 ohm series resistor, I'm sinking on C.2 pin on 08M2 Low C.2 Main: Toggle C.2 pause 10 goto Main since my turntable speed is probably off a little...

    Turntable Speed

Hello, I bought one of these for my turntable, and neglected to notice that it's a 50 Hz model and I need a 60 Hz. I don't mind that it's 50 Hz I rather prefer a portable light source. I need to order some high intensity LEDs, would a white LED be better or should I go with red or some other...

    Help with LCD117

I remembered that the zipped file has .hex files so it's all ready for programming. I do have the mplab-x ide loaded. Now, I just have to wait until I have enough items for ordering from Mouser in order to offset the shipping costs. The chip that PHAnderson used is 16F1827.

    Help with LCD117

the code for LCD117 is in public domain, lcd117 has anyone tried programming a raw pic chip with the software? I have a PICkit 3 but I'm not sure what else is needed. In the instruction, phanderson it mentions "In order to compile and burn the firmware source code to a chip you will need a...

    Picaxe/Pi DataLogger

Hi Janne, exactly what Hippy says. Here is the information I used to get it working, Picaxe/Pi There are some slight changes, one I remember offhand is serial device name on the Pi changes depending on which image the Pi is using. Once set up programming the picaxe with pi works very smoothly.

    Picaxe/Pi DataLogger

I ran into an unexpected issue with my Pi/Picaxe combo, today temperatures plummeted to below 20 C, good time to check the robustness of modern electronics. I knew the picaxe would do just fine cause at least one of them took a ride in space. Surprisingly, the Pi shut down at 0 C. I was very...
