Some time back prior to the release of PE6, Clive Seager made some posts which suggested that the code from PE6 could somehow be used to load generic PIC chips. If this is possible, then exactly how does one do this?

Unfortunately, the code Hippy posted in answer to my question regarding interfacing a 44780 based 2 line x 16 character to a 14M Picaxe, disappeared before my eyes when the Forum server went down. Could you possibly repost it please?

The Programming Editor download area says I can directly download version 5.1.3. Yet when I download either as a previously registered or a new user, I end up with version 4.1.9. Furthermore, there is no patch available to upgrade 4.1.9 to 5.1.3. What's going on?
