I have been interested in electronics since I received my novice amateur radio license in 1954. See the bio for W2HUV at www.qrz.com.
I recently volunteered to add remote control capability to the Gloucester County Amateur Radio Club (GCARC) station W2MMD HF radio using the FCForb server and client. I have succeeded at controlling the station from home, but still do not have control of the antenna rotator or the selected antenna. My current goal is to provide automatic antenna selection based on the frequency of VFO A. Another club member suggested that I use a PicAxe micro-controller to perform that function because it would only take a couple of chips and a tiny Basic program.
