I bought a few Windows 10 license keys for $3 from https://keyvoo.com/ , which were legit and activated just fine. They also sell cheap Office License keys. I guess they recycle the licenses from e-waste computers.

Since Picaxe is from the UK, shouldn't they be DO/WHILST loops? Otherwise, it's an admission that Americans are right once again. :)

You may be able to use C.3 as a simple high/low output, freeing up another pin with ADC capability. Others here have posted mosfet circuits switched on by the software-selectable "weak pullup resistors" built into the Picaxe. If that's an option for you, let us know and we can point to that post.

I forget, with Picaxe do you need to specify the pins as outputs before using pinsb? Using either output or.dirs command. Or was that BASIC Stamp...? Also try outpinsb, that may be sufficient.
