    LED Series Resistor

    Hi, I wanted to connect an LED to the output of a PICAXE 28X-1 chip and worked out the series resistor value to be about 80 ohms. But when i looked in the manuals it suggested that i should a 330 ohm resistor. I am not sure which one i should use?? Thanks, Daniel
