Potentiometers - reading and recording values

Hello Westaus55 I really appreciate the response - thank you :) It's good to know that pulsout works with higher values - and can I therefore assume I have higher resolution for better servo position recording? So I've had a go at what I think is required for the mapping of the servo range...

Potentiometers - reading and recording values

Hello, and thanks for reading... I would very much appreciate any in-depth knowledge regarding using a potentiometer to position a servo arm. Currently I am using a Hi-TEC HS-65HB servo which has a very useful maximum 189.5' arm rotation, using 690ms and 2510ms for pretty much 0 to 180' min and...

    Simple servo question

Hi there, I thought I'd try your code as written - I copied and pasted into PE6, with only the need to change the pin number as I'm using an 08M2. The code appears to run fine, with the servo moving to each position (first end, middle, other end), pausing for 2 seconds between each position, and...

Set, Record and Drive of Servo to 2 positions

Hi there, I'd greatly appreciate any help with this project. I fear I may have placed this as a post incorrectly before, but have now created a fresh post, as this is starting from scratch really. A point of thanks to member 120thingsin20years for the structure of a mode selection program...

PIC to Picaxe program conversion - simple servo drive

Hi there, Thank you for your input and help on this - I've finally got back to it, and have some further thoughts and directions. I'll place a fresh post. Hopefully you might have some more input? Thanks in advance.

08M2 pin c.5 as 'straight' high/low input in simulation

Thanks Technical, most helpful. A subsequent search on 'disconnect' and I can see that others have tripped on this issue too. Cheers again.

08M2 pin c.5 as 'straight' high/low input in simulation

Hi all, Anyone had issues when trying to use the 08M2 C.5 pin as a 'standard' binary on/off input in simulation (PICaxe Editor 6), that when clicking on the diagram pin, that it resets the whole program simulation? Perhaps I'm missing fundamental? Cheers in advance of any help.

PIC to Picaxe program conversion - simple servo drive

Hi Alan, thanks for responding. Good to hear that one program shouldn't be difficult to convert to the other (exactly what I was hoping for!). Indeed I suspect there will be some tinkering required to find the required 'number/constants' as I'll be using different servos from the original...

PIC to Picaxe program conversion - simple servo drive

Hi Buzby, and thank you for responding. Totally appreciate the idea of keeping things simple, and indeed I didn't go into too much detail on the application this will be used for. Once this is developed into a working project, I wish to produce many of these. I have the need to switch servos...

PIC to Picaxe program conversion - simple servo drive

Hello to all, and thank you in advance for reading further... Somewhat of a newbie here to Picaxe, but that definitely comes with a keenness to learn. I am rather stuck, and would be most grateful of the some much needed help as I can then really start progressing and exploring further...
