A local educational contact, long frustrated with managing the "snakes pit" of classroom USB-serial cable$ (& -ah-increasingly familiar with "other" UK schools micros), recently asked me why PICAXE wireless programming hasn't yet been developed.
Fair question! Today's e-devices increasingly consider wireless (especially BT/BLE) the norm but AFAIK this OTA (Over The Air) PICAXE holy grail died when UK firm Ciseco's URF/ERF modules ceased production ~2013. (Nottingham based Ciseco became "Wireless Things" & this was later bought by MXC/365 Agile)
Forum ponderings arose (c/w Rev.Ed's outline of "break" issues)-refer sample posts below & =>https://picaxeforum.co.uk/threads/poor-mans-erf-urf.24390/.
Goeytex's admirable OTA explorations with INHAOS LC-1000 2.4GHz modules (now LC-3000 updates?) looked promising but nothing definitive seems to have since emerged... Anyone ?
